Walt's Knives

Welcome to Walt's Knives

Hello, and thanks for taking the time to visit my site. I have always had a fondness for knives and other cutting tools, and find a lot of joy in making knives for other people to use. I hope you like what you see here!

About Me

I currently work in the oil fields, which allows me two weeks off a month to do as I please, though it keeps me away for the other two weeks. I’ve always been fascinated with knives. I received my first Swiss Army knife when I was 8 from my great-grandmother, and it didn’t take me long to amass a sizable collection of all shapes and sizes of cutting tools. Most of those are gone, replaced time and time again, but my collection kept growing until I decided it was time to give making knives a try, instead of just buying them. I have found making knives to be quite a challenge, and I am not where I want to be yet, but this is a calling where the journey is at least as important as the destination. I still learn something new with every knife I make, and hopefully each knife I make is better than the last!
